Victoria and David Beckham back to matching to attend Christmas party

David Beckham missed the England vs Wales match in Qatar on Tuesday to fly home in order to attend his wife Victoria’s work Christmas party. 

And the couple were back to their matching best when they were pictured leaving her Dover Street store in Mayfair, looking very attractive in black. 

David and Victoria held hands as they left the upmarket store at around 10pm after letting their hair down together but failed to raise a smile.

The sportsman has landed himself in hot water in recent months for refusing to step down from fulfilling his £10million Qatar World Cup deal amid anger over human rights and LGBTQ+ issues. 

But he and Victoria put on a united front to party with Posh wearing a beautiful black dress which had a long fringed hemline. 

She teamed the number with strappy sandals and of course wore her trademark sunglasses despite it being night-time. 

David also looked handsome wearing a black jumper with baggy trousers and brown shoes, completing his look with quirky sunglasses. 

The couple looked very much in love as they prepared to head home.

A source told MailOnline: ‘The music was extremely loud, and the DJ even played a Spice Girls records.’

No doubt David was thrilled by England’s 3-0 victory against Wales that evening, even if he wasn’t there to see it. 

David has been criticised for his £10million Qatar World Cup deal.

The decision by FIFA to hold the World Cup in Qatar has been surrounded by controversy – particularly in relation to migrant workers and the LGBTQ+ community.

David has not spoken about the country’s oppressive laws despite warnings over human rights abuses and an abysmal re- cord on LGBTQ+ issues.

Last week comedian Joe Lycett threatened to shred £10,000 if he didn’t pull out of the role – but David didn’t give him a response.

The former footballer arrived in Doha ahead of England’s first match against Iran and has been seen watching the England matches so far in the stand.

Also last week, the publisher of Attitude magazine has removed its famous David Beckham cover from its offices and slammed the footballer for ‘turning a blind eye to corruption’.

Darren Styles OBE, owner of the gay lifestyle magazine, tweeted its 2002 cover showing the former England captain with dyed blonde hair.

The page was accompanied by quotes from David in which he says ‘it shouldn’t matter what people are and it never has done to me’, adding that it is ‘the way I was brought up and the way I’ll always be’.

Darren said the magazine had ‘sat proudly’ in Attitude’s offices for 20 years, but he has now made the decision to take it down after ‘the Qatari’s bought his silence’.

He said: ‘This canvas has sat proudly on the Attitude Magazine office wall for years. I took it down today.

‘Talking about stuff nobody will talk about is ‘the way he’s always been, and the way he’ll always be’, David Beckham told us in 2002. Until the Qataris bought his silence 20 years later.’
