Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams Are Officially Married

While most people who care about celebrity weddings have been focused on Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s second wedding ceremony in Georgia, Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams quietly tied the knot in California.

A source close to the couple confirmed to E! News that Sarah and Wells made things official on August 20 in an intimate ceremony at the Sunstone Winery near Santa Barbara, California and Sarah’s Modern Family costar Sofia Vergara confirmed the news on Instagram, sharing a photo booth picture from the festivities (along with other Modern Family alums Nolan Gould and Jesse Tyler Ferguson) captioned, “#sarahandwells wedding❤️❤️❤️❤️.” (She also shared a look at her wedding weekend lewk, if you want the full length #ootd view of her dress.)

If it feels like this wedding has been forrrrrever coming, well, it pretty much has and the bride and groom are almost certainly with you on that feeling. Sarah and Wells announced their engagement way back 2019 and had an August 2020 wedding all planned when the world was hit by a global pandemic and plans had to change.

On August 8, 2020 (aka the day they were *originally* supposed to do the whole walking-down-an-aisle and putting-a-legally-binding-ring-on-it thing), Sarah and Wells celebrated their would-be wedding day with faux wedding photoshoot and some adorable IG posts.

“A couple, a pandemic, & a postponed wedding: A series,” Sarah wrote in the caption of her post to commemorate the day. “We were supposed to get married today. Instead… we took pictures and drank wine. I love you to Pluto & back @wellsadams ✨”

“We were supposed to get married today,” Wells captioned his own post of faux wedding pics. “We didn’t. But I still got to grab a butt. So, ya know, still pretttty cool.”

No pics from Sarah or Wells from the for real version of their wedding, but we’ll be casually refreshing their feeds until they share some. And in the meantime, all kinds of congratulations to the happy couple, ofc.
