The Real Housewives of New York City alum Bethenny Frankel has issued a plea via TikTok to those who suffer severe allergies after suffering a life-threatening medical emergency when a restaurant accidentally served her the wrong dish. Watch above.
The 51-year-old reality star said the incident left her 11-year-old daughter Bryn “traumatised.”
“My girl being terrified while I slept was the worst part but she’s learning to be safe & prepared in how to act in a crisis,” Frankel wrote on Twitter on Sunday in the aftermath of the incident.

“Plus I have the platform to remind people to be cautious & have a med plan when travelling. Always have 1 point person’s info that responds at all times,” she advised.
In a series of videos shared to her Instagram Story and TikTok profile, Frankel revealed that on Saturday night local time while she was on a trip, she went to dinner with her daughter Bryn.
Bryn told their server at the restaurant that Frankel was “deathly allergic to fish” and the duo ordered from a vegan menu.
The server, however, accidentally brought Frankel the wrong dish, and Frankel said she didn’t realise the fish was inside a vegetable spring roll until it was “too late.” She then suffered an allergic reaction.

“I’m alive,” Frankel updated her followers in the aftermath, saying the incident was “just a very traumatic and a medical situation late at night with my daughter who was very concerned and worried.”
On TikTok, Frankel urged her followers, should they have a severe allergy, to, “Be prepared for a 911 & have a medical plan while travelling.”
Frankel added on Twitter that Bryn “feeling the responsibility of administering the pen & being afraid throughout the night was scary for her.”
“Have a thorough and annoyingly obsessive medical plan before travelling…,” she further advised.

In a separate tweet, Frankel pleaded with her followers, “If you have severe food allergies, please carry your epi pen & an antihistamine with you.”
“Even if you explicitly state a deathly allergy & order something vegan, mistakes can happen,” she continued.
“Someone brought me someone else’s food & it became a 911 & a serious care for bryn Xo #staysafe”
