Ralph Lauren Debuts Team USA’s Opening Ceremony Designs for the 2022 Winter Olympics

When Team USA appears at the 2022 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony, to be held on February 4th in Beijing, the athletes will be outfitted in uniforms designed by the iconic American brand Ralph Lauren. It won’t be the first time: The label has been the official outfitter of Team USA since 2008. Today, the label debuted its latest Olympic designs, which proudly embrace all things red, white, and blue.

To debut the new uniforms, the label shot the pieces on several Team USA athletes, including Aja Evans (bobsled), Rico Roman (sled hockey), Hilary Knight (ice hockey), Maame Biney (short track speed skater), Jason Brown (figure skating), Jamie Anderson (snowboarding), Shaun White (snowboarding), Alysa Liu (figure skating), and Ryan Cochran-Siegle (alpine ski). For many of them, being a part of the campaign had a deeper meaning than just leaning into patriotic style. “Ralph Lauren is synonymous with the Olympics,” Brown, an Olympic bronze medalist, tells Vogue. “I remember so clearly the 2008 Olympics, and the first time that Team USA walked out in Ralph Lauren. To have this full-circle moment where I get to be part of that is remarkable.”
