Lisa was born February 1, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee, and was the apple of her famous father’s eye.

Growing up at Graceland, Lisa had carte blanche of the mansion and grounds and could do no wrong. After her father passed, Lisa became the joint heir of his estate alongside his father, Vernon Elvis Presley, and grandmother, Minnie Mae Presley. Following their respective deaths, she became the sole heir and inherited her father’s Graceland residence.

Like her father, she would establish her own career as a performer in the entertainment industry, releasing three albums: 2003’s To Whom It May Concern — which went on to become gold certified in the United States — as well as 2005’s Now What and 2012’s Storm & Grace.

Lisa was the mother to Riley Keough and the late Benjamin Keough, whom she shared with former husband, Danny Keough. She was also the mother to twin daughters, Harper and Finley Lockwood.

The Presley family released the following statement: “Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”
