Kourtney Kardashian’s Wedding Prepares to Conquer Italy

Portofino, Italy, population 376, found itself the most glamorous spot on Earth this weekend, when Kourtney Kardashian readied to marry Travis Barker. In addition to the rest of the Kardashian clan, Beyoncé checked in to a posh Portofino hotel, and five-time Grammy nominee Andrea Bocelli will perform at the event.

Technically, this is the third wedding for Kardashian and Barker, who got hitched in Las Vegas last April (yes, by Elvis), and then had a civil ceremony in California last week. (There’s word of round four coming up in Los Angeles, for those who can’t make the Italian reception.) The two went public with their relationship in January 2021. By then they had been dating for months, but downplayed reports, saying they were just neighbors and friends.

This is Kardashian’s first marriage, though she was in a relationship with Scott Disick for a decade, and the couple have three children. This is the third marriage for Barker, best known as the drummer for the band Blink-182, and he has two children with ex-wife Shanna Moakler. He also helped raise Moakler’s first child, daughter of her ex-fiancé, boxer Oscar De La Hoya. Barker also has no shortage of tattoos

The wedding is set to happen at Castello Brown, a castle dating back to the 16th century and now owned by the municipality. (Book your own wedding overlooking Portofino Bay, less than an hour’s drive from Genoa, here.) If you ever saw Mike Newell’s film Enchanted April with Joan Plowright, Jim Broadbent, Miranda Richardson, and Alfred Molina, that’s where it was shot. (It was also the location for the Sophie Marceau segment of the Michelangelo Antonioni-Wim Wenders collaboration Beyond the Clouds.)

On Saturday, Kourtney’s sister Kim took one of her children and her niece out for gelato while wearing an all-gray Dolce & Gabbana outfit. Other pre-game events included a dinner party with the whole gang, a luncheon in the fishing village of San Fruttuoso, a soirée at Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana‘s villa, and “loads of time on massive yachts in between,” according to People
