How Euphoria’s Storm Reid Gets Glowing Skin and Perfects Her Winged Liner

Like many of her teenage peers, Euphoria star Storm Reid is prone to breakouts—especially after long days of filming the popular HBO drama. “When I’m not on set, I make sure that my skin-care routine is very consistent,” says the 18-year-old, who begins her glow-boosting regimen by washing her face with cleanser and adding a veil of hyaluronic acid. “I’ve had to learn over the years that a breakout doesn’t define you,” she continues. “They’re normal!”

To lock in hydration, Reid’s moisturizer of choice is the Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream, followed by a radiance-boosting serum and skin-safeguarding sunscreen. Inspired by her mom’s youthful-looking skin, the 18-year old actor tries to follow her advice, such as applying moisturizer to your neck and drink plenty of water, as much as possible. Though Reid admits she still experiments with beauty trends she’s discovered on TikTok, and sometimes that trial and error stresses out her complexion. “My skin was breaking out, so I have kind of scaled back,” she says.

Onto makeup, Reid fills in her brows with a pencil, then blends Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Perfector 4-In-1 in with a damp Beautyblender. “I have always been obsessed with makeup,” she says while applying a Pat McGrath Labs concealer under her eyes, the sides of her nose, and along the corners of the mouth. “For me, [it’s] is a form of self-expression—and it started through lip gloss.” Reid prefers not to contour, instead creating a sculpted wash of color with a Westman Atelier blush and Huda Beauty bronzer. Next, she etches wings across her eyes with a dark brown eyeliner—cleaning up any mistakes with a Q-tip and more concealer.

“When I was shooting A Wrinkle In Time, our makeup head really helped me through the journey of understanding that makeup is to enhance rather than to cover up,” she explains, expressing gratitude for the empowering makeup artists she gets to work with. She also praises the famous women who have helped her navigate the industry, like her co-star Oprah, who told Reid, “to not waste energy on the things you can’t change in life, when you could be using that energy on something else positive.” It’s a sentiment that sticks with the rising star to this day. And with that, a bit of mascara, a trace of eyeliner repurposed as lip liner, and a swipe of the Laneige Lip Mask, Reid completes her signature no-makeup makeup look.
