Billie Eilish Revealed She Slept In A Bed With Her Parents And Brother Until The Age Of 11 Due To Her Debilitating Separation Anxiety : entertainment

As the grandmother of a child with this level of separation anxiety I wish the people being mean in their comments would take a breath.

If grandson comes for a sleepover, he bunks in with me (he and I sleep fully clothed, so please, just don’t with the sexualizing bs) and I understand it’s going to be like that for a while longer. (Hubby and I coslept with our kids until the youngest was 2 so nobody in the immediate family is griefing him about this, nor should they.) His mother has been slowly teaching him to manage his anxiety and eventually this will stop, but the world – with war and COVID and divorce and a new baby and money troubles – is an anxious place and some kids are just strung tighter than the rest of us.

Anyway I adored Eilish’s music from the first note of ‘Bad Guy’, and since I watched ‘The World’s a Little Blurry’ I’ve adored her parents too. To parent *two* musical prodigies without destroying them or overprotecting them or abandoning them to fame is hard, but they didn’t just ‘manage’ – they succeeded spectacularly.
