At Fendi’s Couture Show, the Makeup Was as Dazzling as the Diamonds

Fittingly, for a fashion show that put shimmering pavé and baguette white diamond jewelry front and center, the beauty look at Kim Jones’s Fendi  fall 2022 couture presentation in Paris on Thursday was dazzling. 

“We went for a nude, glowy face and pearlescent eyes that, in crescendo, got sprinkled with silver glitter, to be in sync with the outfits in the line-up,” makeup artist Peter Philips said of the look. On some models, sparkling silver glitter was applied in an imperfect wash across eyelids, with the Cupid’s bow of the lips delicately highlighted in addition for an ultra-ethereal effect. Others wore frosted eyeshadow and pearlescent highlighter buffed into the skin in a C-shape across the temples and tops of cheekbones, catching the light to a dewy effect.
