Just days away before the start of the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, Nike has officially unveiled the kits that Team USA including its Paralympic athletes will be wearing throughout the event and on the medal stand.
The pieces from the latest collection function together to keep athletes dry and warm starting with the Steeple Rock long-sleeve as the base layer, the Rope De Dope jacket for the mid-layer and the Chain of Craters jacket at the exterior. The capsule also includes the ACG Dri-Fit ADV Trail Pants, which for the first time will include a quick-release magnetic buckle allowing adjustments on the fly. The footwear portion of the capsule is the Nike ACG Gaiadome FlyEase Boot, but will remain exclusive to the athletes and will not be sold at retail.
Per Nike, this is the brand’s most inclusive, innovative and sustainable winter kits that they’ve ever engineered. The apparel pieces incorporate design elements similar to its FlyEase tech, which provides wearers to put them on and take them off with little effort.
The 2022 Nike Team USA Medal Stand Collection for the Winter Olympics will be released at Nike.com and at select Nike Sportswear retailers later this year. Pricing for the capsule will range between $85 to $370.
The coverage for the 2022 Winter Olympics will officially kick off on Feb. 4 and will wrap up on Feb. 20.
