Since 2008, Gothenburg has been the home of two Dubstep crews. Shambler and Bassline Express. This spring they join forces, creating an offspring: The Dubstep Bastards.

During three events we will transform Röda Sten (This time Underjorden) into a monster of bass, darkness and red lights. There will be heavy international bookings and swedish talents teaming up with the Shambler and Bassline Express residents to give you a night of mayhem. This is the Dubstep Bastards.

Short Drama biography (Longer below)
Drama is an established DJ, Part of EgoThieves (www.egothieves.com). DubFriction Resident and record label owner (Deception records).
Formerly part of the Urban Nerds, “Drams” can boast playing in venues such as Fabric, Ministry of Sound, Herbal, 93 Feet East, Scala, Theme, Club 8, TrmNL and the Coronet to name a few. As well as this Drama has showcased his talent on the Airwaves on radio stations such as Sub Fm, Rinse, and Wax FM and more recently on FM4 @ Springnine Festival Austria.
In 2009 Drama played @ Outlook Festival (Croatia) Springnine Festival (Austria) and also went to Sweden to DJ and support Noah D on his European tour.

With a plato of Mixtapes under his belt and A monthly mix series Entitled ” 1 Take Bang” Started in Jan 09 its clear Drama likes to keep his time full with Music. 2010 see’s the start of a new mix series entitled “5minute Dinner”

Long Drama biography:
Drama’s DJ career started at 13, when drum and bass was the sound of choice and pirate radio, the medium. Typical of the era, he soon developed a penchant for UKG and DJ’ed on radio and under 18 raves every week. As UKG turned to grime, so did Drama with the forming of Cast Iron Projects back in 2004. However, Dubstep was always on the agenda for the now 24 year old, with his sets for the Projects forever being peppered with tunes by the likes of Benga, Kode 9 and Skream. He soon became fully engrossed in the sound and turned his hand to producing, churning out tunes such as ‘Scurf’, ‘Pedigree Chums’ and ‘Italian Fireplace’.

In early 2006 Drama decided to go it alone, breaking from the MC based Grime scene, set on establishing himself as a fully certified champion of dubstep. He has grown into a well respected DJ known for Technical Mixes and Fast style, with many admirers from the scene, both here and in Europe. In 2007 Drama joined the Urban Nerds team. With a Sponsorship from Ortofon and Ecler he was known as the ‘Nerds only 100%’ dedicated Dubstep DJ.
After 3 years with the Nerds and after a few chance meetings with Ego Thieves creator Jenai a venture began that will see the Thieves stealing ears far beyond the scope of decks and a mixer.

With bookings rolling in from Europe and a US tour planned, right now it seems as though everyone’s after a bit of Drama.

Fish from Bird Fish in Between of the Bassline crew used to live in Bristol and that’s when he met Ghettozoid. She’s a DJ/producer from the UK, but she now divides her time between Bristol, London and Berlin. When she’s not in the studio herself or out DJing, she manages a bunch of wicked labels (Sludge, Jungle Cakes, Hot Cakes, Booty Breaks and Rat records) and she’s also in the process of launching her own label ‘One4Ho’.
