So we are about to conquer the final frontier, Trädgår’n. Gothenburg’s biggest nightclub with two floors plus an outside area fits in total over 2000 people and on Thursday night Losca, Zub and TRPR takes the main stage as part of Gothenburg University’s Fall Semester Launch Party. Most of the other DJ’s from the student [...]
Leroy didn’t make it down to Malmoe this week so he got to do one more show before he’s going to London. That makes this show both Leroy’s and Amazing A’s last show in a couple of months, but they will try to get a slot on some show from London or at least record [...]
Every once in a while your hear music and you just know, this will go far. First time we heard our friends in Bird, Fish and in Between’s music, it was just like that. We instantly decided to support them in anyway possible, and now they finally felt ready to come join us on the show and showcase what they’ve been working. It’s something like bassline-house, niche, 4-4, pop, electro, whatever and it rocks! So download and join the movement. Because these guys are going nowhere but up!
As you may or may not know, Leroy is leaving for an internship in the Dubstep Mecka, London UK. So this was his last show for a while, but he will be with us in spririt all the way. To send him off inna style & fashion, Tafuri [Groove Radio] and Amazing A [FRMT] came down to the studio as well. AA actually managed to sqeeze in a little Toastyboy special. Toastyboy recently announced that, sadly, hewill no longer be producing dubstep. But we wish him good luck in his future endeavours and enjoy AA’s mix of probably most of his releases.
For this weeks show we invited our good friend and true Bassline supporter Yohan to come and play some of his favourite Dubstep tunes. Yohan used to live in Tokyo, Japan, and started out DJing at bars and clubs there. So we chat about the scene in Japan and hear some of his selection. We also chat a bit about the Music Doc Festivalthat goes on this weekend in Gothenburg.
Last week something messed up the podcast bu this week we’re back in full effect. OK, not really, Leroy had to go to Stockholm for a competition, but TRPR & Losca stayed in town to give you our weekly take on the Dubstep and Drum&Bass world. But not only that, Zub also joined us and played a wicked selection of dark Drum&Bass mashed with some nice hiphop vibes and much more.

DMZ people, DMZ. Three letters that will change your view on music, bass and life in general. We had a blast. Just the chance to see Digital Mystikz, Hatcha, Skream, Joker, Jakes, Distance, Kode9, Oneman and many more in one night was crazy, but to see and hear them at the Mass, that’s something else. So this episode of the podcast we dedicate to London and the weekend we spent there. We play a bunch of new records we picked up and we chat a bit about DMZ and FWD>>, the most influential club nights in Dubstep.
Leaf from Struktur is one of Gothenburg’s most experienced club promoters and he’s been DJ:ing a whole bunch of genres. In recent years he has focused on Drum&Bass and Dubstep. He has also hosted a radio show on K103 with the rest of the Struktur guys. Check them all out and download their mixes at www.strukturmusik.com Nowadays he works in southern France but he was back in Gothenburg for a break and of course we had to bring him up to the studio for a chat and a nice mix.
Finally management sorted the new mixing board, big up! From now on things will probably sound a little better, as soon as the decks are sorted anyway. This week we had Lil P in the studio. He’s one half of the Gothenburg soundsystem Popeye Sound, but he’s branched out into other stuff than reggae and on BasslineFM he gave us a nice Breaks set. As usual Leroy and TRPR played a nice selection of dubstep and Losca did a tight Drum&Bass set in the second hour.
