Inti Raymi, The Festival of the Sun, was celebrated each year by the Inca people in honour of the sun god INTI. It also marks the winter solstice and the beginning of the new year. During the Inca Empire, the festivities consisted of nine days of dancing and processions, and was the most important of all ceremonies in Cuzco, the Inca capital.

With the conquest of the Spanish in the 16th century, however, the festival was banned, as it was seen as pagan by the catholic conquistadors. Today, a re-enactment of Inti Raymi is performed each year on June 24th in Cuzco, Peru.

This year, we bring the spirit of the Inti Raymi festival to Sweden! The weekend of the 28th – 30th of August, we will celebrate the sun god by gathering the tribes in the Swedish nature under the Swedish sun. There will be music, joyfulness, craziness and all out fun!

There will be music on two dancefloors: one dedicated to Psychedelic Trance (Full On and Progressive), and one dedicated to other kinds of electronic music, including Electro, Techno, Drum N Bass and House music. Furthermore, there will be a chill out area and possibility to buy food, drinks, clothes etc etc…”
